Earn $29.80 for every site you send us
Recommend MetaWrench, get 20% of every Pro sale that comes through your link. No tiers, no targets, no fine print you need a lawyer for.
How it works
- Apply through Lemon Squeezy. We approve by hand, usually within two working days.
- You get a link. Put it on your site, in a tutorial, a video, a newsletter, wherever you talk about WordPress.
- Someone clicks it and buys Pro within 30 days. The sale is credited to you.
- Fourteen days later, once the refund window has closed, the commission is released and paid on the next payout date.
The numbers
20% of the first payment on every Pro licence. At $149 that is $29.80 per sale. Renewals are not commissioned; we pay for the customer you brought, once.
Commissions are held for 14 days. If the customer refunds inside that window, the commission is voided. After 14 days it is yours regardless.
Payouts are created on the 1st and 15th of each month and paid on the 14th and 28th, to a bank account or PayPal, in US dollars, with a $10 minimum. Lemon Squeezy handles all of it; we never touch your payment details.
Who it’s for
People who already tell others what to install. Bloggers writing WordPress tutorials, YouTubers doing plugin comparisons, agencies and freelancers who set up sites for clients, hosting reviewers, and anyone running a newsletter that WordPress owners read.
If you build client sites and buy the licence yourself, use your own affiliate link at checkout — that’s allowed.
What we give you
- Banners and text links in the Lemon Squeezy creatives library
- The twelve-plugin comparison table as an image you can drop into a post
- A real-time dashboard: clicks, referrals, pending and paid commissions
- An email address that answers questions the same day
The rules
- Say you’re an affiliate. The FTC requires a clear disclosure wherever you use the link. So do we.
- No paid search ads on the word MetaWrench or on our domain.
- No coupon or discount sites. There are no MetaWrench coupons; a site claiming otherwise is lying to its readers.
- No spam, no cookie stuffing, no fake reviews. We void the commission and close the account.
- Write what you actually think. A negative review with your link in it still pays.
Questions
Does the free tier pay anything?
No. Only Pro purchases are commissioned. If someone starts free through your link and upgrades to Pro within 30 days, you get the commission.
First click or last click?
Last click. If two affiliates send the same customer, the one whose link was clicked most recently gets the sale.
Why the 14-day hold?
Because that is our refund window. Paying you and then clawing it back is worse for everyone than waiting.
Will the rate change?
Not downwards for existing affiliates. If we raise it, you get the new rate too.
